Tie Dye Jerky submitted 2011.07.18 07:53 PM by RoadSong viewed 2850 times

This lady set up shop on the State Highway near my hut, right next to the U.S. Post Office.

My village has a population of 200, but there are thousands, perhaps millions, that pass by and see the signs and stop. She has been in this location forever. Her tie dye tee shirts sell briskly in the summer months, her jerky sells best in winter. I am not sure what all she sells, but people always leave with smiles on their faces...

Her recipe for tie dye jerky is kept in a stone jar buried near the hot spring that has the scent of citrus and burning tires.
